All Robbinsdale Area Schools student-artists aged 9-14 are encouraged to enter the Minnesota Department of Health’s (MDH) 2024 Radon Poster Contest.
The first-place state winner will be entered into the national contest, and the top three national winners receive cash awards, including $1,000 for first place.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 15. Check out the MDH website for more information as well as details about how to enter.
The goal of the contest is to make young people aware that high radon levels increase one’s risk for lung cancer. Testing your home and mitigating exposure are the only ways to reduce that risk.
