Neill E-Learning Plan

Neill E-Learning Plan

As the winter weather is approaching we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of the e- learning plan for Robbinsdale and specifically the Neill plan.

If the weather is unsafe for school (typically extreme windchill or large snowfall) the district will communicate via phone, email, text, social media, and with local news media letting you know it will be an e-learning day.  The district ran a test last week, if you did not receive the test notification please call the main office at 763-504-7400 to update your contact information.

An e-learning day is considered a school day and the students will be assigned work to complete at home.  This is asynchronous, meaning there will not be any required google meets for the student to join.

The following is an outline of the day:

  • 7:15 - 8:30 - Teachers plan time for the e-learning day
  • No later than 8:30 - Teachers will post the plan to SeeSaw/Schoology and will also email it to families
  • 10:15 - Attendance is taken for the day - students are present if they 'like' their teacher's post, or by families replying to the email from the teacher.
  • 8:30 - 2:05 - Students complete assignments, teachers are available via voicemail or email.
  • If your family does not have the ability to connect to the internet for any e- learning, your child can be given a printed copy of the activities upon returning to school.

All work should be completed by the end of the day, and no longer than one week after the e-learning day.

If an e-learning day should occur, additional communication will be provided as soon as we are able.
