Principal's Update 05/27/2026

Principal’s Message:

Hello Neill Families,

I can hardly believe this is my last principal newsletter of the school year! What an incredible year we have had together. Our students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally, and it has been a joy to watch them learn, lead, and support one another throughout the year.

As a follow-up to my email last week announcing that I have accepted the Head Principal position at the School of Engineering and Arts (SEA) for next school year, I would like to share that Michelle Azure will be joining Neill as Assistant Principal for the 2026–27 school year. She will join Mary Jane Adams, who will serve as Head Principal.

Ms. Azure has worked in the Robbinsdale School District for many years and brings a wealth of experience and dedication to student success. Most recently, she served as Assistant Principal at Sonnesyn Elementary for three years and is currently the Assistant Principal at Meadow Lake. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Azure as she becomes part of the Neill community.

Our school has been a very busy place during these final days of the school year, and we look forward to celebrating all of our students’ accomplishments. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and growth this year. Thank you for the many ways you have partnered with us to support your children and our school community.

• May 28 – Kindergarten Graduation, 1:00–1:30 p.m.
• June 1 – 5th Grade Celebration, 12:30–1:30 p.m.
• June 1 – Last Day of School for K–8 Students

As I finish my final days here at Neill, I want to once again thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the past six years. It has truly been an honor to serve this community, and Neill will always hold a special place in my heart.
