Hello Roadrunner Families!
Our staff had a bit of fun this week with a secret spirit week. Monday we wore flannel shirts and only a few students noticed. On Tuesday we did ABC (Anything but a cup). Many students were aware we all were drinking out of things that are not our typical water bottles - some fun containers were a pineapple, a soup can, pots, pitchers, and baby bottles! Many students were making comments about how we all were being weird. By Wednesday even more students were on to us and realized we were dressed in all black. Check out our Neill Facebook page for some fun pictures from this week. Make sure to give us a like and follow our page. We put many updates and photos each week!
With the colder weather we are also starting to see more students getting sick. As a reminder, if your child is too sick to come to school please call the health office at 763-504-7410. Leave a message with your child's name, grade, classroom teacher, and reason so we can mark them absent for the day. If you are unsure if your child is too sick for school please check out the attendance tab on our families page for more information.
There is no school for the next two days. I was able to join 4th grade's morning meeting campfire today and heard about all the fun things families are doing. Some highlights included celebrating the Hmong New Year, going to the movies, getting nails done and most importantly, spending time with family and friends and eating food! Whatever your family is doing I hope you enjoy some time off and we look forward to seeing you all in December!
