Drop-Off/Pick Up Procedures (non-bussing students)
Drop-Off
Students who walk to school should plan on arriving no earlier than 7:40 a.m. and wait outside by the main doors (door 1). The doors will remain locked until 7:40, and no supervision is provided before 7:40. Classes begin at 7:45 a.m.
Families who drive their students to school will enter the lot and remain in their cars. See this MAP to indicate where you should wait while in your vehicle. Staff will come to your vehicle to dismiss your student, and ensure your student(s) safely cross at the crosswalk beginning at 7:40.
Pick-Up
Families who pick up their students from school will park in the lot and walk to door 13 and wait outside. See MAP. Students will begin to be released at 2:00. In the beginning of the year all families will need to show a government issued ID to the staff member at door 13. Within the first week, staff will give you a form which verifies who can pick up. Within a few days of this form being received, staff will provide you with a family specific tag you will show in place of your ID for all future days of pick up. Once identified, staff will have your student walk to meet you by door 13. Please note: Students will not be released to a family without either a government issued ID or the Neill family pick up badge.

Please be patient as the first few days may take some time as we distribute pick up passes and get to know all our families. The safety of our students is our top priority.
On occasion, you may have to take your child out of classes for a short period of time before the end of the school day. If you know this is the case please call the school office at 763-504-7400. When it is time to pick up your student, come to the office and ask the office staff to send for your child. No child will be allowed to leave her or his classroom early without clearance from the school office. Students are expected to make up all work missed as a result of lateness and or absences. If your child will be absent due to a reason other than illness, parents should contact the school office and your child's teacher prior to the absence.
If you need to pick your student up early, please do your best to call the office prior to 1:30 p.m. This will allow us adequate time to communicate the change to your child and their classroom teacher.
Note: For the safety of our students, a state or government issued ID will be asked for identification purposes. We can only release students to those authorized per your student contact information as parent/guardian or emergency contacts.
Biking To/From School: Children in grades three through five are allowed to ride bicycles to school with parent permission and as long as safety procedures are followed. The school assumes no responsibility for damages or stolen bicycles. All bicycles should be locked. Students in grades kindergarten through second grade may NOT ride bicycles to school.
SAFETY PATROL
Students act as safety patrols at arrival and dismissal times at designated crossings.
These patrols will be at the designated crossing from 7:35 -7:45 a.m. and again from 2 -2:10 p.m. Please make sure that your children are at the crossings at the appropriate times so that the safety patrols may help them cross safely. There will be no patrols the first few weeks of school.
