Principal's Update 4/24/2024

Hello Roadrunner Families,

A big thank you to our PTA who put on a fun carnival for Neill families.  Thanks also to the Armstrong Baseball team and NHS for providing volunteers for the games.  It was great to see and connect with many of you.

If you are still looking for summer activities for your student, sign up for Targeted Services summer school.  This is a free program, focused on academic skills, in June that is at Neill.  See the post below for dates, times and registration information.  There is also a post on fee based community ed programs for the summer as well.

Next Wednesday students in 1st, 3rd and 5th grade will participate in a vision screening during the school day.  If your child wears glasses, make sure they have them this day so their screening is accurate.

Summer Targeted Service Program

Robbinsdale Area Schools is excited to offer its in-person Summer Academic Program at Neill this year. Featuring small class sizes and no tests or worksheets, we think the Summer Academic Program will spark your students' curiosity, while also allowing them to play games, get outside, and hang with friends.

ACTION REQUIRED: Complete transportation opt-in survey for 2024-25 school year

Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) is entering the third year of its opt-in transportation system. The past two school years have demonstrated the opt-in system works because it helps decrease the number of routes while increasing efficiency in our transportation system.

Beginning April 15, all families with students enrolled in Rdale schools must fill out the bus transportation survey for the 2024-25 school year. The survey needs to be completed for each student by Monday, May 20.

With a camp-like feel, the Summer Academic Program for elementary and middle school students features small class sizes and no tests or worksheets. This opportunity will spark your student's curiosity, while also allowing them to play games, get outside, and hang with friends.

Principal's Update 4/3/2024

Hello Roadrunner Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and got to enjoy some of the snow we finally had!  Please note, we do have two more days off coming up; next Wednesday the 10th in recognition of Eid al-Fitr, and Friday the 26th for teacher professional learning.

Don't forget to order your Neill yearbook using the link below.  Please note, if you do not order a yearbook we have a very limited amount for sale once they arrive.  If your student wishes to have a yearbook for the year, please make sure you get your order in before it closes on Sunday the 14th.

Our 3rd through 5th grade students worked hard on their Reading and Science MCA's before break.  They will be completing their state testing on April 16, 17, and 18th with the MCA math test.  Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest and arrives at school on time these days.

Finally, check out below for information on the new feature to submit your students' absence online!
